Charles N. Benscheidt Memorial Scholarship

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Chapter at Colorado State University honors brother Charles N. Benscheidt '75 through a scholarship benefiting undergraduate SigEp brothers at CSU.

Prior to attending CSU, Charles was an Eagle Scout and active in Sports leading up to his graduation from La Junta High School in Colorado. Charles received an Engineering degree from CSU in 1975 and immediately went to work for his father's company, Western Food products.

Charles and his father George N. Benscheidt tragically passed in an airplane crash in January 1981 and this scholarship was created in 2009 in his remembrance. Charles is survived by his daughter Kinna Benscheidt of Wichita, Kansas.

We are working to setup and fund a Benscheidt Endowment and plan to start awarding scholarships for CSU SigEp undergrads within a couple of years.
